Here at Loudoun Lactation and Education we offer a variety of Classes to help you, your family, and your community, feel prepared for whatever lies ahead!
Check out our Monthly Prenatal Class Packages and make it a full day of learning! Plan to take our Classes in your Third Trimester if possible! Registrations include a Plus One because being supported is important!
Also Check out our Complementary Support Groups for community support during your Fourth Trimester!
What Classes Do We Offer?
Our Goal is to make sure you are feeling prepared as a new parent, family/friend, or caregiver. We currently offer classes in Breastfeeding, Newborn Care, Infant CPR, Babysitting Safety, and CPR/First Aid Certification! We are always looking for new ways to serve our growing community!

Our Newborn Care class is perfect for families who benefit from hands on learning and wish to know what they need in order to prepare for life with a newborn! We will be covering topics like Hygiene, Swaddling, Diapering, Babywearing, Car Seats, Strollers, Newborn Sleep, and more! The breastfeeding class is perfect for parents who benefit from an interactive learning environment! We’ll be going over all the basics and “how to’s” of nursing with couples in mind. Join us to learn how to love at first latch!

Our breastfeeding class is a practical yet in depth class designed to get you ready for the first few weeks after baby’s born. We will discuss expectations, managing difficulties, and we will demonstrate positioning & latch. It’s designed as a hands-on experience for couples which will include a show and tell segment regarding pumps, bottles, and other feeding related gear!

Confident & Connected: Mastering the Pumping Journey
This one-on-one class is taught by Anna, our Partner at A Path Forward!
-Calling all pumping moms or soon-to-be pumping moms! Whether you’re heading back to work, building a stash, or trying to make peace with your pump—join us for a 60 min supportive and info-packed workshop that will leave you feeling empowered and equipped. You’ll learn everything from flange fitting to scheduling, and walk away with real-world tools for success.
What we'll be covering:
• Overview of pump types (manual, wearable, hospital-grade, etc.)
• Flange fitting guidance
• How to build a pumping schedule (work, home, mixed feeding)
• Milk storage and handling (safe prep, storage bags, etc.)
• Troubleshooting low output & common pump issues
• Pumping and mental health: boundaries & expectations

Preparing Young Caregivers with the tools they need to succeed! This blended (online/in-person) certification program is a perfect introduction to basic First/Aid/CPR concepts as they delve into the world of caring for other. This class can also be great for family members and friends who would like to feel more comfortable about providing care to littles! Parents of youths are encouraged to participate!
